What is MyCPP?

MyCPP is an online platform, accessible by a web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, where you can get information about your CPP account online and interact directly with CPP. You can also earn points and rewards on the site and learn how energy is used in your home.

Why should I or would I want to use MyCPP?

MyCPP lets you access your account in a dynamic and online environment, charting your energy use over time and inviting you to answer questions so you can learn how to be smart about energy use. You will earn points and rewards each time you visit. From MyCPP you are able to access the online bill payment feature and you can earn points for timely bill payment. The more you visit, the more you learn about how to make the most of your CPP account.

How do I access MyCPP?

How do I enroll?

The first time you login you will have to create an account with MyCPP. You will need an email address and your account number, which is located on your bill.

What does the “Sign In with Swoop” option on the account log-in page do?

Now MyCPP customers can log in to their account without a password. Swoop is a secure, password-free authentication service that allows you to use your everyday email address to log in. Pressing the “Swoop” button generates an email message from your default email account that’s pre-loaded with state-of-the-art 2,048-bit encryption. Simply press “Send” and MyCPP will redirect you to your secured account session. No typing and no passwords required!

How often may I sign in and out?

You can sign in and out as much as you want. There are no restrictions on how often you can access the site. We recommend you log in at least monthly to learn how your consumption compared over historical levels, and what incentives are available. As the seasons change, so do the tips on saving energy. Answering questions about how you use energy in your home helps MyCPP help you save energy.

How can I earn points and incentives?

CPP wants you to have the tools you need to use energy in a smart way. Points and incentives are given to individuals who answer questions on the site, pay their bill on time, visit CPP at community events and who post positive messages about CPP on social media. All of you points and badges are tracked through MyCPP, so login often and earn more points.

How do the points work with the incentives?

From time to time throughout the year, CPP will give incentives to MyCPP users who earn certain number of points or badges. Announcements of available incentives will be shared with all MyCPP users through email or text, and listed on the site when the incentives are available. Login often to check and see what is new and available!

How do I redeem my points?

After logging into your account, you can view a list of available incentives by clicking the "Incentives" link at the top of the page. When you are on the incentives page, you can redeem your points for the different incentives.

How will redeeming points affect my rank compared to other players?

MyCPP tracks overall points and shows your achievement compared to others in the program. The system knows the difference between overall points earned and points redeemed. You do not lose ranking if you redeem points for incentives.

What kind of questions will I be asked?

MyCPP is designed to give you energy saving information that matters to you. It does so by asking you questions about how you use energy in your home, what kind of energy-using devices, appliances, etc. are in your home and general information about your home (e.g., age of home, apartment vs. house, etc.). The more questions you answer, the more opportunity you have to save energy.

Can I pay my electricity bill using the MyCPP?

In the navigation menu, at the top, use the “Pay My Bill” link which will take you to the CPP billpay system. It will open a new window and you will need to login again or establish a new billpay account following the directions. When you are done paying your bill, close the windows and you will come back to MyCPP. MyCPP tracks your clicks out to the billpay site and rewards you for on-time bill payment.

What other information can I find in MyCPP?

MyCPP’s components are:
  1. A Dashboard that shows historical consumption in graph form compared to other like-users and energy-savers. Historical data up to 3 years is available at any time and will be updated monthly when bills are issued.
  2. Two kinds of surveys: the site gives you a chance to answer questions so it can help you save. Questions appear each time you login at the top, and you also may receive specific surveys in your message box based upon answers you shared. These specific surveys help CPP give you more specific information and tools to help you save.
  3. When you give your email and cell phone, you will receive alerts from CPP.
  4. Energy Savings: MyCPP suggests ways to be smart about energy use.
  5. MyCPP allows you to compete with and be rewarded for taking an active role in managing your home energy usage.

Is the MyCPP Site Secure?

MyCPP is a secure site. Access is available over HTTPS using SSL. Look for the green lock in your browser. Click the Terms of Service at the bottom of the site you can learn more.

Who can access my data / answers in the MyCPP site?

Your data in MyCPP is only accessible by you. CPP does receive the answers to your survey questions and knows what points and rewards levels you obtain. Your information, including your email address, your preferences and your usage, is never shared with third parties and accessible only by Brilliency and CPP.
